DTWG Choir (Desire To Worship God)
Deire To Worship God (DTWG) is becoming a household name. It's not surprising with their rich harmonies, soulful arrangements and contagious melodies.
DTWG is becoming a household name in the UK Gospel Scene. It's not surprising with their rich harmonies, soulful arrangements and contagious melodies with songs influenced by their experience of their daily walk with God. Founded in 2003, they have many accomplishments under their belt; having shared the stage with the likes of Mary Mary, Dr Ron Kenoly, Trinitee 5:7, Muyiwa, Emile Sande, Taio Cruz, Brian Blessed, Diversity, Tinie Tempah and London Community Gospel Choir, it's clear to see that their music is well received by Christians and non-Christians alike.
Other notable recognition include their recent appearance with Jamie Oliver on his Channel 4 show Jamie: Christmas with Bells, receiving the 2010 BEFFTA Award for Best Gospel Act and being nominated for the Best Gospel Act in the Urban Music Award 2010, the Gospel Music Awards 2010 & 2009 and the MOBO Award in 2009 to name a few.
Our team is made up members from various churches in the UK; most of who are solo artists in their own right. Their work has been showcased on prestigious platforms such as Channel 4, ITV, BBC1, BBC3, Premier Christian Radio, BBC Radio and more. “My Lord”, written by one of our members, Kristyna Myles, broke into the UK Album Chart Top 10. This song also appeared alongside tracks from Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu on the compilation CD ‘Songbird 2008’.
