A four piece Folk rock band. We perform lively tunes on the mandolin/banjo and sing favourite Irish and pop songs. In demand for private parties and beer festivals, we also offer a dance caller option

• Hello. JigeryFolkery are a modern Celtic-Rock band. We perform a very wide range of music and have now built up six 40 minute sets to chose from on the night. This extensive range comprises: 1) Jigs and reels for dancing, 2) Irish or Scottish songs, such as `Whiskey in the jar`or `500 miles` 3) popular acoustic hits, such as `Maggie May`, modern, Folk-Rock songs, by The Levellers, Lindisfarne, the Pogues or the Waterboys, and finally, 6) Marches on the Great Highland Bagpipes. We have perfomed for many private parties this year, (2011) anniversaries, weddings or birthday parites, and now receive a lot of booking through word of mouth. We are also getting popular for beer festivals and are frequently offered a follow-up booking as soon as we come off the stage. 

EXTRAS? We can offer our Pipes & Drums feature, in which our Scottish duo, Hugh Stewart on Pipes and Alan McKenzie on the marching drum, will perform a set of stirring marches and parade through the audience. This feature can add spice to any occasion and is a great way of launching the evening, or piping in the couple at weddings.

As we have a top-quality full frequency sound system, we can also offer our DJ option. No need to hire a DJ as we already have the sound system and the lights. Keep within you budget, but still enjoy the live band plus the Disco: -bring along your own iTunes selection, or leave it to us. Chris, on bass, who is a sound engineer, also has DJ experience.

N.B. We are all Musicians' Union members, thus have full insurance. Our equipment carries up to date PAT certificates.
