



The Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO) heads to Brighton for Rum and Rhythm by the sea
On Saturday 6 August 2011 the Caribbean Tourism Organisation UK will host a four-hour consumer event showcasing Caribbean cuisine, rum and music at The Thistle Hotel in Brighton.Taking place between 16.00 and 20.00, visitors will have the chance to sample a wide selection of Caribbean rums plus a range of local gastronomic specialities from all over the Caribbean, provided by the exhibiting Caribbean tourist boards, hotel groups and holiday companies. Visitors will be able to explore the culinary culture of the Caribbean with demonstrations, tasting sessions and exhibitions from Brugal Rum, Caymanas Rum Cake, El Dorado Rum, Hotel Chocolat, The Rum Experience, Sandals and Virgin Holidays, as well as live music from Caribbean band, Tropical Elements.
Momma Cherri, a regular celebrity chef on ITV's This Morning, will also be cooking up a storm in the kitchen and preparing some delicious Caribbean soul food for visitors to try.
Tickets are available from The Thistle Brighton Hotel on 01273 763 244 as well as from the CTO in advance from £25 per person or £28 on the door (one child under 10 years admitted free of charge per ticket-holding adult and children aged 10 to 17 years £10 with proof of age). The ticket entitles visitors to sample Caribbean dishes and drinks from the following countries: Barbados, Bermuda, The Dominican Republic, Jamaica, St Kitts and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
